Eagles of the Day

Every child is featured as "Eagle of the Day" on the AM announcements throughout the year. They have their picture taken, and it was displayed on the “Eagle of the Day” bulletin board for all to see.

1st six week: Responsibility
2nd six weeks: Empathy
3rd six weeks: Kindness

Sunshine Club
Children are selected from each class to attend a 10 week motivational program to
encourage friendship and positive behaviors.
Soaring Citizen Facilitators
4th and 5th grade children are trained to help set up for the Soaring Citizen Celebration. They  help facilitate making crafts with the younger students. These children are a very important part of making the celebration a success!
Soaring Citizens

Students are chosen by their classmates and/or teacher to represent their homeroom for displaying CORE values. These students are invited to attend an award party at the end of each six weeks. They participate in making a craft, and they get to have their pictures taken so everyone can see their good citizenship displayed in the main hall on our "DES Soaring Citizen” bulletin board..
Golden Eagle Morning Greeters and Announcers

We will be taking applications and interviewing for 5th graders to serve as our greeters and announcers each morning. If you are responsible, outgoing and have good communication skills please consider applying.

(See Mrs. Keller for applications beginning September 3rd)
