PROGRAM AT FOSTER VILLAGE!
The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) serves as a supplementary program to enhance state or local reform efforts by providing out-of-school services to students and their families.
- Targets high-need, high-poverty, low performing schools.
- Ensures highly effective programs to assist students in meeting academic standards in core subjects (math, reading, science, social studies).
- Provides academic assistance along with enrichment opportunities to help students meet academic standards and graduate ready for college and/or the workforce.
- Extends learning opportunities outside of the regular school day.
The Texas 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program supports programs across the state that provide afterschool shelter, academic learning and enrichment activities to Texas school children.
Programs form partnerships with local schools, agencies, volunteers and parents to provide a wide array of support to community children.
Goal: All students will graduate prepared for post-secondary education and/or join the workforce.
Program objectives are:

- Improve behavior
- Improve promotion rates
