Congratulations to our 1st grade teacher Jennifer Harris.
Jennifer is Snow Heights Teacher of the Year!
Great job Mrs. Harris!
World Read Aloud day is set for Thursday, February 16, 2017!
In honor of this day, your child has the opportunity to dress as his/her favorite story book character. Please make sure your child adheres to the dress code according to the district guidelines when preparing your child’s character outfit. Your child may not wear a Halloween costume unless it is a character from a book. Please make sure it is not a scary outfit and does not have a mask to cover the face.
Here is a video with more information: WRAD Costume Video
We will have a book character parade that will include all those who are dressed as a book character. Your child will need to bring a copy of the book that goes with his/her character dress to participate in the parade. Your child will then be able to share this book with his/her classmates.
Last year was a huge success with students dressing as a wide variety of book characters. It was fun to see so many of our scholars participating! We hope your child will enjoy thinking of his/her favorite character and dressing-up on this special day to celebrate the love of reading!
