Birdville ISD and JPS have joined to provide two school-based clinics in the District. One is in Haltom City at 2807 Layton Ave., and the other is on the south side of The Academy at C.F. Thomas Elementary at 8200 O’Brian Way in North Richland Hills. The clinics treat students in BISD and their siblings, ages newborn to 18 years old. Services include well-child visits, sports physicals, acute care, chronic illnesses (asthma, diabetes), immunizations, and much more. The clinic does not have X-ray capabilities or dental services. They see uninsured or Medicaid students that do not have a specified primary care physician. For appointments, call 817-702-4861 (Haltom City) or 817-702-4855 (The Academy at C.F. Thomas Elementary).
